Cohort Learning as Discipleship

Good experiences are better when they are shared with others. This is what the Legacy Leadership Cohort (LLC) is all about. The LLC, coordinated by Kathairo and Restore St. Louis, is a leadership development experience for a small group of African-American leaders. It is focused on faith, cultural awareness, and applying the best practices of leadership. Further, the ethos of the cohort is a peer learning model. While individual coaching is part of the experience, group engagement makes the cohort thrive!

Discipleship can be understood as the lifelong pursuit of learning from and following the best leader in history, Jesus Christ. Growing in faith is rooted in deep genuine relationships. Our cohort traveled together, shared meals, and attended sessions together too. This stimulated good open conversation and led to moments of deep transparency. After one enlightening message, we spent about an hour sharing how we were challenged and felt God calling us to grow as leaders.

-Proverbs 27:17

Our time together fostered deeper senses of trust and mutual encouragement. And as trust begets trust, we learn more about each other and learn more from each other. Group discipleship allows us to support each other in the best experience, our pursuit of the Kingdom.
